Caleidoscope CIC ( Reg.No 12219552) was founded after I was desperate to help my son who was diagnosed with autism.
I decided that I had to be his advocate and his voice and fight for his rights!
As there was not much support available I took everything in my hands. I put together my extensive career in education, life experience and that is how Caleidoscope CIC came alive. Autism changed my family life, my career took a different turn and husband got diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome being in his late 40s!
From being a teacher for over 20 years including mainstream , SEN and FE education, I became autism consultant promoting social inclusion and diversity and breaking stigma of autism.
I have been working with individual parents, organising training for parents and professionals, managing provision for neurodivergent women in prison, running interest clubs for autistic children and offering LEGO based therapy and other interventions.
Currently I manage education provision for young adults with SEN in FE College.
I completed PG studies in Autism, have extensive training in Safeguarding, Mental Health, LEGO based Therapy, Attention Autism. I am qualified mindfulness practitioner and I use mindfulness to tackle anxiety in children. Currently I study counselling and therapy hoping to be able to offer counselling session for autistic individuals.
I am a member of ACAMH and NAS.
All courses are designed by myself , based on my academic research, extensive studies and 24/7 experience with autism.
I see autism as a different ability rather than disability. I offer professionalism and safe space , where nobody is judged.
